Kim Min-seon (Uijeongbu City Hall), the leading speed skating women's sprinter, won a gold medal by setting a track record (highest record in the stadium) at the 6th competition of the 2023-2024 International Skating Union (ISU) World Cup.

Min-seon Kim crossed the finish line in 37.69 seconds and took the top spot in the first race of the women's 500m Division A competition held in Quebec, Canada on the 4th (Korean time).

Kim Min-sun, who came first in her main event, the 500m, won for the third time in her career after winning the third and fourth World Cup events this season. She has collected seven consecutive medals since she won her bronze medal in the women's 500m second race of the World Cup 2nd World Cup held in November last year.

Jaewon Jeong, who won a silver medal at the 4th World Cup and a gold medal at the 5th World Cup, won three consecutive medals, including a silver medal at the 6th World Cup.

Veteran Lee Seung-hoon (Alpensia), who competed with him, finished 8th.

In the first men's speed skating 500m race, Kim Jun-ho (Gangwon Provincial Office) took 8th place with 34.99 seconds, and Cho Sang-hyuk (Sports Toto) took 14th place with 35.16 seconds.

The women's sprint team consisting of Park Chae-eun (Korea National Sport University), Kim Min-ji (Seoul General), and Kang Su-min (Korea University) finished in 6th place with a time of 1 minute 31.56 seconds.
